Reporting a Bug
Bug reports help improve Merchant Miles, especially when they explain what happened immediately before the problem.
Open the report form
- Press Escape to pause the game.
- Select Report Bugs in the bottom-right corner.
- Choose the closest category.
- Describe the problem.
- Select Submit.
The game sends the report directly to Typical Tuesday Games. You do not need to open an email program or include an API key.
What the report includes automatically
The form includes basic technical context:
- Game version
- Platform
- Operating system
- Device model
- Submission timestamp
Do not include passwords, account credentials or other sensitive personal information in the description.
Write a useful description
A strong report answers four questions:
- Where were you? For example: Brindleport auction, evening Map Room or load menu.
- What did you do? List the final few clicks or decisions.
- What happened? Describe the incorrect result.
- What did you expect? Explain the result that would have made sense.
Example:
In Brindleport on the morning after travel, I opened the newspaper, closed it and opened it again. The Council column moved over the regional headlines. I expected the second opening to keep the same layout as the first.
Choosing a category
Use the closest available option. Common categories include:
- Gameplay
- User interface
- Audio
- Visuals
- Performance
- Save or load
- Tutorial
- Other
An imperfect category is better than abandoning the report.
Submission errors
The form may ask for a longer description if there is not enough detail. It may also temporarily reject submissions when too many reports have been sent from the same internet connection. Wait and try again later rather than submitting the same report repeatedly.
If the game cannot reach the report service, preserve the description elsewhere and retry when the connection is available.
Helpful extra evidence
The in-game form does not automatically attach a screenshot. If you contact the developer through another official channel, useful evidence includes:
- A screenshot or short video
- The save slot and in-game day
- The town and current phase
- Whether the issue also happens after restarting
- Whether it occurs in the editor, a development build or the public demo
Before reporting, check Troubleshooting for a quick workaround—but do report recurring problems even when reopening a panel temporarily fixes them.
